State of the City: Mayor Says 'Future is Bright' in Peachtree Corners

Mayor Mike Mason: "We want Peachtree Corners to be the first choice for a place to live or do business."

Saying Peachtree Corners’ future is bright, but also noting there’s still much work to be done, Mayor Mike Mason delivered his State of the City address at three different locations Monday.

Mason had breakfast, lunch and dinner speaking engagements with the Peachtree Corners Business Association, Rotary Club and United Peachtree Corners Civic Association, accentuating the city’s progress in the two years since incorporation and promising to fulfill the vision that Paul Duke brought to the area some 50 years ago — to make Peachtree Corners a “live, work, play” destination for citizens and businesses.

“We want Peachtree Corners to become a lasting community, a place where children are not just born and raised — but want to return to work and maybe start their families,” Mason said, according to a transcript of the address released by the city. “We want Peachtree Corners to be the first choice for a place to live or do business.”
