"All registered Peachtree Corners voters will be receiving new precinct cards soon," said Lynn Ledford, Voter Registration & Elections Director for Gwinnett County. "We ordered the cards a week and a half ago from the state, and we're hoping they are delivered to our office this week."

Ledford said the Elections Office expects to have the cards in the mail by the first of next week (Jan 23, 2012).

"If they don't receive a new card by the end of January they should call our office (678-226-7210) or they can visit the state's MVP (My Voter Page) website," said Ledford.

Ledford pointed out that the new precinct cards will refer to the voting districts as "wards" rather than "posts" but that's due to the standard verbiage the state uses on voting cards.

The new precinct ID cards will also list the polling locations for the upcoming city elections. This year the polling places will be the same as those used for county elections, Ledford said. But after the city hall is established future polling places for city elections may change.
