Three City Council Seats Go Uncontested

Municipal elections are set for Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The period for candidates seeking to run in one of the three City Council seats ended Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with only the incumbents plunking down the qualifying fees.

The three current City Council members, Jay Lowe (Post 2), Jeanne Aulbach (Post 4) and Weare Gratwick (Post 6) will seek re-election unchallenged.

“This is great news!" said Mayor Mike Mason. "I believe it is a vote of confidence not only in our incumbents but also in the progress of the City.  We are on the right track!”

Voters do not have to register separately for city elections. If you are a registered county voter and you reside within the city limits, you are automatically registered for city elections. City elections are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5.

For additional voter information, call 678-226-7210 or visit the city's website.
