Tuesday Elections: What You Need to Know to Cast Your Vote

Polls open Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, here's what you should know before you go.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6, Georgia voters will decide on who will be next the next president of the United States. And voters will also make a choice on whether to amend the state constitution and vote on a number of contested state and local races.

Here are a few things to know before you head to the polls:

What to bring:

Georgia voters are required to show a photo ID. Accepted forms of identification are 1) Georgia driver's license, 2) state-issued voter ID card, 3) U.S. passport, 4) valid U.S. military ID, 5) a valid tribal ID card or 6) A valid employee ID card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government, this state, or any county, municipality, board, authority, or other entity of this state.

How do I find out which polling station to go to cast my vote?

You can find your polling place for the upcoming election by visiting the My Voter Page (MVP) at the Georgia Secretary of State website. There you will find your voter registration status, poll location and sample ballot. There are a total of 11 polling locations for Peachtree Corners voters. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
