Holidays Could be Best Time to List Your Home

There are a number of factors that make selling your home during the holidays a good idea.

There is magic in the air as the holidays roll in. People have an extra bounce in their step and they work hard to make their homes beautiful for the season. 

When you think about it your home is most likely the prettiest during this time, windows are sparkling, homes are full of warmth. It's a beautiful reason to list your home now.

Another reason to list during the holidays, would be that many relocation families take this time to find their home in their new city. Children are off from school and it is a perfect time to house hunt.

There is also another benefit, buyers looking at this time are serious buyers. As I was telling someone, looking for a buyer is like going fishing and there are not as many fish swimming in the water during the holidays but the ones out there swimming are hungrier. Keep in mind you have a very hungry fish and very little to eat. Inventory is down during the holidays and that puts you in a strong position. There is not as much competition.

Many buyers need to buy before the end of the year for tax reasons. Buyers also get bonuses at Christmas holidays and this gives them the confidence to make buying decisions.

If you were thinking that you needed to wait till the first of the year, you might miss great opportunity to sell this season. This would not mean you have to move right now. You can delay closing until the new year.

Your community and your home will be a shining light in the cold winter. Sell your home this month and enjoy the benefits as you enjoy home during the season.
