After 69-U, Waffle House Scores Perfect 'A'

Following is a list of four Peachtree Corners restaurants which have been inspected recently by the Gwinnett County's Board of Health.

Inspectors from the Board inspect area restaurants every six months and then grade them based on extensive criteria that include everything from food being stored at proper temperatures to employee hygiene.

Restaurants are required to display these reports in a prominent place for diners to view. This is what we found in a random search of inspections on the county's website.

• Shelving above manual dish wash area not easily cleanable - paint on shelving is coming off - shelving is not considered smooth and easily cleanable. Must replace shelving.
•  Non-food contact surfaces not clean. Interior of cooler (cooler being used to store pizza pans) not clean. Interior has buildup of food around bottom and around gaskets. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment not cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil residues. Non-food contact surfaces not clean. Exterior around shelving that is used to hold clean dishes has buildup of debris. Must clean all non-food contact surfaces including shelving and interior of coolers.  Repeat Violation.

• Person in charge stated lights for top of grill have been ordered (current shatterproof lights are in disrepair - shatterproof coating is coming off). Top cover of bulk rice container is cracked and in disrepair - must replace.
