During a local election, candidates get to know each other and get a sense of each other’s values.  Despite where each of us may live, our backgrounds, or our beliefs, we have all held a commitment to being representatives of our new city.  Peachtree Corners has always been an active community where you could count on citizen participation.  If we take anything from this City Council election, it should be that we as citizens of Peachtree Corners will step up into leadership roles when the time comes.  It has been an honor to campaign with great candidates and to meet so many citizens that passionately care about the future of our city.

Today, I am both happy and humbled to announce the endorsements of:

And here are some of the full statements:

After running in this election and hearing from all the candidates, I am happy to endorse Robert Byars for At Large District 4. I believe he is the best choice for this position as he adds a perspective that is not currently represented in the council and will be an asset in adding to the variety of ideas I expect from our city’s representation. Robert has always worked tirelessly to help others and I believe he is one of the most honest and hard-working candidates running and is an asset to the future of Peachtree Corners.

 Scott Ehrlich

I endorse Robert Byars for Peachtree Corners City Council.  For the past several years, Robert has been a civic leader in the Peachtree Corners area.  His ability to create ideas and solutions is ideally suited for Peachtree Corners City Council.  As an At-Large candidate, his experience and perspective will contribute to a dynamic and inclusive perspective on the council.  I encourage all residents of Peachtree Corners to join me in supporting Robert Byars for City Council of Peachtree Corners.

 Ray Cobb

As a resident of Post 1, a Post that could potentially be overlooked, I believe that Robert Byars will be the best city council representative for the At-Large Post.  I care a lot about my community and Robert has shown that he will represent Post 1, 2 and 3 equally.  His commitment to being inclusive without being intrusive is something that I admire and I know that he will govern with logic and insight.  As a business owner, I believe that Robert will support local businesses.  This is why I endorse Robert Byars for Peachtree Corners City Council Post 4 At-Large.

Joe Sawyer

I thank each of them for their support and endorsement, and I will work to represent all of Peachtree Corners with ethical and responsible leadership.    I encourage all to vote in the April 3rd Runoff.  If given the opportunity to be your Peachtree Corners City Council Representative for Post 4 At-Large, I will work on your behalf, adhere to the charter, and serve the city to help build a future that all generations of Peachtree Corners can be proud of.
