Pinckneyville Middle School Student Honored

Anna Maxson was recognized recently by the Peachtree Corners Rotary Club as the Student of the Month.

At its weekly meeting on Monday, Dec. 3, the Peachtree Corners Rotary Club recognized Anna Maxson, who attends Pinckneyville Middle School, as its student of the month.

A proclamation was presented to the second-grader which pronouced:

WHEREAS Pinckneyville Middle School student Anna Maxson has been nominated by her teachers as being an exceptional student, who is conscientious, kind and considerate.

Anna always gives her best to her schoolwork earning straight A grades on her report card while taking accelerated classes.  She also excels in sports, playing on Pinckneyville’s basketball team, and also playing soccer. 

Anna loves to paint, and she is a talented saxophone player in her school’s band.  Anna and her family actively serve the community by visiting the elderly, cleaning up yards of neighbors who need assistance, and through many other charitable acts.

Anna embodies the IBMYP characteristic of “caring” because she always looks to the best interest of others. Anna is a great role model for her peers, and she will be a positive leader in her future endeavors.
