Duluth Wildcats Corral Meadowcreek Mustangs

Duluth's Mark Ruskell and Shannon Coulombe crowned Homecoming King and Queen at halftime.

From the opening drive that earned the Duluth Wildcats their first seven points, dominated Friday night’s game against the Mustangs at Cecil Morris Stadium. The Wildcats were able to move the ball and score almost at will, racking up a 23-0 halftime score.

Wildcats Capt. Mark Ruskell and Shannon Coulombe were crowned Homecoming King and Queen on the field at halftime with Denicia Williams as Princess. The Gentlemen of the King’s Court stood at the edge of the playing field spanning the 50-yard line, while the Queen’s Ladies were escorted through a balloon arch. Former queen Natalia Perez crowned Coulombe, and former king Alec McGehee crowned Ruskell.

Duluth’s Matthew Randle scored a touchdown on a handoff from QB Will Delorenzo to raise the score in the fourth quarter to Duluth 30, Meadowcreek 0, and that was the final score.
