2012 Area Board Meeting
District III – Dr. Mary Kay Murphy
April 17 at Duluth High School
The meeting begin at 7 p.m. in the school’s theater, with refreshments served at 6:30 p.m.
Beginning in March 2012, the Gwinnett County Board of Education will go on the road, as it does each year, meeting once in each Board member’s district.

The meetings are a time for the School Board to share information with the public and for citizens to discuss education topics with their elected officials.
They also are an opportunity to hear CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks’ annual address on the state of the school district, focusing on the district’s strategic direction, recent successes and new initiatives, and current budget challenges.

The 2012 Area Board Meetings are organized by the schools in each Board member’s new electoral district. (Citizens may attend any one of the five meetings, however.)
