GCPS Invites Public to Review Classroom Curriculum

Parents, members of community welcome to review proposed curriculum materials now through Sept. 28.

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) invites parents and members of the community to join GCPS staff members in a review of proposed curriculum materials. Parents may provide input on the proposed materials by participating in the public review, which will be held at headquarters in Suwanee.

GCPS holds an extensive review before adopting materials for classroom use. Parents, community members, teachers, and administrators review materials to ensure alignment with the school system’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum.

During this year’s review, scheduled to run from Sept. 17-28, GCPS staff and members of the Gwinnett community will review non-fiction books for grades K-12, teacher resources for grades K-8 Language Arts, and Advanced Placement Latin materials.
