GCPS Summer School Begins Tuesday

Online campus already under way.

Summer vacation ends early for some students Tuesday (June 14) as Gwinnett County Public Schools begin summer sessions. Classes for high schoolers will be held at Central Gwinnett, Mill Creek and Shiloh high schools. Classes end July 13.

Classes will be Monday-Thursday, with July 4 a holiday.

Normal registration has concluded, but late registration will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at each school site. Refunds will not be given for students who attend one day of school.

Students must pay to attend summer school. For Gwinnett County residents, fee is $225 for each class, $250 for late registration. For non-Gwinnett residents, the fee is $25 more than those amounts.

Exact attendance figures are incomplete at this time, according to Gwinnett Schools spokesperson Jorge Quintana.

Summer sessions already are under way for the Gwinnett system's online campus, and they will run through July 11-12.
