Gwinnett Schools SAT Scores Top State, National Averages

The results show that the two high schools attended by Peachtree Corners students, Norcross and Duluth saw increases over the previous year.

A new report just released for 2013 shows Gwinnett County Public Schools excelled in SAT scores and were on the top of the list in state and national averages on all sections of the test.

The report shows:

  • Gwinnett students average composite score on the SAT is 1513.
  • Gwinnett students total SAT average is 15 points above the national average of 1498.
  • Gwinnett's average is 61 points above the Georgia average of 1452.
  • GCPS has seen a 28 percent increase in SAT participation in the past three years. In 2010, 6,320 students took the SAT, this past year there were 8,121 who took the test, an increase of 1,801.
