NHS Students to Show Work at Atlanta's Dogwood Festival

The student art exhibition runs April 19-21 including one piece from Duluth High and eight from Norcross High.

From Gwinnett County Public Schools:

Among more than 100 art pieces on display during this year’s Atlanta Dogwood Festival this coming weekend, visitors will find many produced by Gwinnett County students.

The Atlanta High School Art Exhibition features 107 pieces, of which 41 are the creations of Gwinnett County students. Several Norcross High School student creations earned high accolades from festival judges.

  • Emily Danielson, 12 grader from Norcross High, 6th Place, for “Pseudo Chaos” ( Teacher: Martha Cook)
  • Elizabeth Williams, 11 grader from Norcross High, Honorable Mention for “Pretty Feet” (Teacher: Ashley Getz)
  • Malaak Ali, 12 grader from Norcross High, Honorable Mention for “Orbit” (Teacher: Kimberly Landers)

Gwinnett students will be on exhibit at Piedmont Park during the Annual Dogwood Festival, April 19-21, 2013. Other Gwinnett County students with exhibits include:

  • Camille Pettit, 10 grader from Parkview High, "Best of Show" for “Laura” (Teacher: Judy Nollner)
  • Sarah Tucker, 12 grader from Parkview High, 4th Place for “Ebb and Flow” ( Teacher: Alexandra Scott)
  • Brandon Kim, 11 grader from Peachtree Ridge High, Honorable Mention for “Super 8”( Teacher: Joseph McSpadden)
  • Lauren Burrows, 12 grader from Mill Creek High, Honorable Mention for “Blu” (Teacher: Vicki Gladden)
