Peachtree Corners Student Awarded Scholarship at Washington and Lee University

Wesleyan High School graduate Cody Solomon won a Johnson Scholarship in a competition against 190 other finalists.

Cody SolomonΒ of Peachtree Corners, Ga., has received a Johnson Scholarship to attend Washington and Lee University.

Solomon, a graduate of Wesleyan High School, began classes at W&L in September. Solomon was among 40 winners of the prestigious scholarships for 2013.

The Johnson Scholarship program was established in 2007 as a result of an historic $100 million gift to the university. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis, and candidates are chosen on the basis of exceptional academic and personal promise. The scholarships provide at least tuition, room and board, and allow students to graduate debt-free.
