Pinckneyville MS Student Hallie Carton, Our Student of the Week

The 6th grader won first place - for the second year in a row - in the annual Future Problem Solving competition.

Pinckneyville Middle School 6th grade  

Accomplishment: Hallie attended the Future Problem Solving State Bowl in Athens on March 18-19.  For the second year in a row, she won first place in Individual Problem Solving for the junior division.  She has been invited to compete at the international conference in Wisconsin this summer.

Key to Awesomeness:  Hallie is a hard-working and motivated student and loves participating in the Future Problem Solving Program, which involves critical thinking, research and writing.  She attended the FPS international conference last summer and achieved 7th place.  Hallie enjoys middle school and has been very involved in chorus this year.  She is excited about performing a solo in the spring chorus concert. Hallie is a voracious reader, and she spends much time writing and drawing her cartoon characters called the "Doodles." In addition to her love of reading, writing and music, Hallie is a big fan of chocolate!
