Sandy Hook School's Super Bowl Performance of 'America the Beautiful' Called Stirring

A 26-member group of students from the school, along with super star Jennifer Hudson, delivered a moving rendition of the well-known song during Super Bowl halftime.

The revved up Super Bowl crowd grew silent when 26 students from Sandy Hook Elementary School took to the field during Super Bowl halftime to perform with super star Jennifer Hudson.

Wearing matching white polo shirts, the students performed a stirring rendition of "America the Beautiful." The Super Bowl crowd suddenly grew silent as many recalled the tragic shootings less than two months ago.

Even the players on the sidelines seemed moved by the performance.

CNN Monday announced it as one of the lasting memories of this year's game.

Did you watch the performance? Did the students trump Beyonce's show? Tell is in comments.
