Summer School Information Released

Summer school information now available for high school students in Gwinnett County.

Summer School through the Gwinnett County Public Schools will begin in June 2012. Classes will be available for high school students who need to make up a class or want to get ahead in school. Classes are also available for rising ninth grade students and higher.

Classes will be offered in two formats: face-to-face and online. All classes will follow a Monday through Thursday schedule. No transportation will be provided for summer school.

Students are advised to take no more than two summer classes.

Face-to-face classes will be offered June 12 through July 11 at Mountain View, Peachtree Ridge and South Gwinnett high schools. Registration is available online or at a walk-up registration at Peachtree Ridge High School on May 31. Registration will be open through June 4.

Online classes will be offered through Gwinnett County Online Campus. Registration is available online through June 4 as well. A face-to-face meeting will be required for final exams and some selected classes.

More specific information is available online regarding high school summer classes through the GCPS system. Information on elementary and middle school summer classes will be released soon.
