GAC Boys Finished Unbeaten Season with State Championship

It's the seveth Georgia High School Association boys basketball title for the Spartans.

The Greater Atlanta Christian boys basketball team completed an undefeated season with a 58-55 win over Calhoun in the Class 2A state championship game Friday in Macon.

Isaiah Wilkins had 29 points and 12 rebounds for the Spartans, who finished 32-0.

Calhoun had the ball with 11 seconds left in the game, but couldn't convert. Wilkins grabbed the rebound of a missed three-pointer to preserve the win, according to a Gwinnett Daily Post report.

It was the seventh GHSA championship for GAC boys basketball and second in a row:

  • 2013: Class 2A
  • 2011: Class 2A
  • 2010: Class 2A
  • 1977: Class B
  • 1972: Class C
  • 1971: Class C
