Gwinnett Braves Hosting 'Boston Strong Night'

For Peachtree Corners baseball fans who want to find a way to help the victims of the recent Boston Marathon bombings, attend the May 7th game and a portion of ticket sales will go to OneFundBoston.org.

The Gwinnett Braves will show their support for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing with a special night to raise funds for the families affected.

On May 7th, the G-Braves will play the Boston Red Sox's minor league team the Pawtucket Red Sox. First pitch is at 6:05pm at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

Sports stars formerly from Boston, including Matt Ryan, Jason Varitek, Rodney Harrison and Dee Brown will be at Coolray Field for the game.

The first pitches will be thrown out by athletes who played in Boston at one time or another. They are:

Five dollars from every ticket purchased at gwinnettbraves.com/boston using the promo code "STRONG" will be donated to OneFundBoston.org and benefit the victims of the Boston Marathon tragedy.

The entire evening will be a tribute to Boston. Each G-Braves player will walk out on the field to a Boston band, including Boston, Aerosmith, the Dropkick Murphys, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and others. There will also be some items sold at the concession stand to make Coolray Field feel more like Fenway Park.
