Gwinnett Braves Lose 2 in Norfolk

Suspended game completed; team now 2 1/2 games back.

The Gwinnett Braves came out losers twice Sunday night in Norfolk, Va. The Tides won the completion of a game suspended from Saturday, 6-5 in 10 innings. Also, the Tides came back for a 3-1 victory in the nightcap.

The losses dropped Gwinnett to 2 1/2 games behind Durham in the International League South.

In the opener, Norfolk's Adam Donachie hit a walk-off homer in the 10th off Juan Abreu for the win. In the nightcap, a two-run homer by Ryan Adams in the fifth of Anthony Varvaro provided the winning runs.

For Gwinnett, Ruben Gotay was 4-for-7 with two RBI in the twin bill. Also, Tyler Pastornicky and Mauro Gomez each had three hits on the night.

The teams play again Monday in Norfolk.
