Gwinnett Braves Lose in Charlotte

Team returns to Coolray Field on Saturday.

Charlotte jumped on Gwinnett Braves starting pitcher Yohan Flande for three runs in the fifth inning Thursday and went on to a 6-2 victory in Fort Mill, S.C.

Flande allowed eight hits and three runs in five innings. G-Braves shortstop Tyler Pastornicky extended his hitting streak to nine games and kept his average at .400 since joining Class AAA.

Gwinnett is in second place in the International League South, 1 1/2 games behind Durham.
