Gwinnett Braves Update: Baseball Season is Almost Here

For the 2013 season, Team Tuesdays and $3 Thursdays are returning. And if you're a Bobblehead fan, you're in for a treat.

Peachtree Corners baseball fans, the season is near, and the Gwinnett Braves have some special promotions in store for games at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

Returning will be such specials as $3 Thursdays, and Kids Eat Free Mondays. There will be $3 food and drink specials on Thursday home games. On Mondays, kids 12-under will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips and a small soda.

New will be will be Team Tuesdays, which include pregame autograph sessions. Before each Tuesday night game (excluding June 11), select G-Braves players will be available for autographs on the Coolray Field concourse.Β  Also, the first 500 fans will receive a collectible poster featuring prominent G-Braves players from past and present. And any child 12-under who wears their youth sports league jersey will receive a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket.

Another new wrinkle will be the Alumni Bobblehead Series. On selected dates, bobblehead figures of former star G-Braves players will be given to the first 2,000 fans. The schedule: Brandon Beachy (April 5), Freddie Freeman (May 18), Jason Heyward (June 22), Kris Medlen (July 6) and Craig Kimbrel (August 10).

The season opens Thursday, April 4, at 7:05 p.m. vs. Charlotte. The first 2,000 fans will receive a G-Braves T-Shirt.
