NFL Dream Begins for 2 Former Norcross High Stars

D.J. Adams and Adrian Hubbard signed as undrafted rookies.

Two Norcross High School graduates have signed free-agent contracts with NFL teams, as teams scrambled to sign the best remaining players after the 2014 Draft.

Running back D.J. Adams (Portland State) signed with the San Diego Chargers, linebacker Adrian Hubbard signed with the Green Bay Packers.

They join a list of nine Gwinnett football products who will get a chance in the pros.

Ja’Wuan James of North Gwinnett (Miami Dolphins) and Bradley Roby (Denver Broncos) were selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft last Thursday, May 8.

Since the draft completed on Saturday, the Norcross pair and three other Gwinnett players were signed to free agent contracts, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

South Gwinnett wide receiver Jonathan Krayse (Vanderbilt) signed with Cleveland Browns, as did North Gwinnett defensive back Robert Nelson (Arizona State).

Central Gwinnett offensive lineman Kaycee Ike (UAB) signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Post also reported Buford lineman Dallas Lee (Georgia; Atlanta Falcons) and Shiloh tight end Ernst Brun (Iowa State; Oakland Raiders) were invited to NFL camps.
