Norcross-Area Teams Advance in the State Basketball Tourney

Norcross-area high school basketball teams had a great opening weekend in the Georgia High School Association state tournaments.

Advancing to the second round were Norcross High boys and girls in Class 6A, Wesleyan girls in Class 2A, and Greater Atlanta Christian girls and boys also in Class 2A.

Norcross boys and girls, and Wesleyan girls are defending state championship.

• Last result: 82-26 win over Union County, Class 2A first round.
• Next round: Vs. Calhoun, Feb. 24, 6 p.m.

• Last result: 83-22 win over Union County, Class 2A first round.
• Next round: Vs. Model, Feb. 25, 6 p.m.

• Last result: 74-48 win over Greene County, Class 2A first round.
