Zachary Healy, a Peachtree Corners residents, is participating in the 92nd annual Georgia Amateur Championship in Kennesaw this week.
Beginning the second round on July 12, Healy was just two strokes behind the leader, David Noll Jr. The championship concludes on July 14.
Healy, a rising senior at Norcross High School, helped the Blue Devils win the state championship in the spring. He also won the 7-AAAAAA individual title this past season.
He has one more high school season in front of him, and then it's off to the University of Georgia, where he has committed to play golf.
