Top Prospect from Norcross High Announces Signing Day Decision

Lorenzo Carter is going to play in the SEC as a collegian.

Lorenzo Carter, considered the No. 1 college football prospect in the state, announced Wednesday that he'll attend the University of Georgia.

Carter, who helped the Blue Devils win back-to-back state championships, announced the decision live on ESPNU's ongoing National Signing Day coverage.

"I decided to stay home and represent my state and hopefully bring a national championship back to Georgia," Carter said.

Carter is a 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive end. He chose Georgia over FloridaFlorida State and LSU.
