Lorenzo Carter, the Norcross High School defensive end who is the state’s top football recruit according to Scout.com, will wait until National Signing Day on Feb. 5 to announce where he’ll attend college, according to media reports.
Carter, a leader on the Blue Devils’ run to two straight high school championships, is the No. 23-rated prospect overall by Scout.
Carter has offers from such programs as Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Georgia. According to Scout, Carter took an official visit to LSU on Jan. 14, and has upcoming visits with Florida State (Jan. 26) and Georgia Jan. 31.
