The last day of school for Gwinnett County Public Schools students was May 22. See what fun activities are available for your children over the summer.
Summer is upon us.
May 22 was the last day of school for Gwinnett County Public Schools students. May 23 and May 24, are the last teacher planning days for the school year.
Teachers return for the 2013-2014 school year on July 31, and students return Aug. 7.

Here are a few things to get your children through the summer months:
- Register now online for summer reading programs at the local library. Turn in completed form by Aug. 17.
- Participate in Vacation Bible School at your local church.
- Attend summer camp and other activities at Gwinnett County parks. Click here to sign up or learn more about what is available.
- Make a splash with Gwinnett County swim leagues. Click here to find out more information.
- Have fun with scouting. Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta's overnight and day camp registration is open. As well, parents may also check with the the Atlanta-area council of Boy Scouts of America.
