Help Troops By Recycling Cell Phones

The 4th of July holiday means many individuals and families will be hitting the roads or taking to the sky for summer vacation, while others will remain nearby to enjoy a leisurely day off. Of course, most of us will also pause to reflect on the freedoms our country has been afforded by the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. AT&T's Cell Phones for Soldiers program is an opportunity for metro Atlantans to join the efforts.

This July 4th week, help connect members of the military with their families by recycling old devices and chargers. Most people don’t know their old phones and chargers have real monetary value, but the average credit received for devices was more than $80 in recent trials.

How does this program help our troops for free? It pays immediately for qualified trade-ins or lets you donate the value of your old devices to Cell Phones for Soldiers, a non-profit dedicated to providing deployed and returning troops with cost-free methods to communicate while serving in the military.

Trading-in devices and chargers is easy:

1) Follow the reset steps at www.att.com/ecospace and restore your device to its factory settings

2) Bring devices to company-owned stores (check www.att.com). The device's value will be calculated based on make, model, and condition. The credit is an AT&T Promotion Card.

3) Use your credit to buy new AT&T wireless products, pay your bill or donate the value to Cell Phones for Soldiers.
