Affectionate Feline Ready for Adoption

Sweet-natured tortoise shell female named Santana has been spayed and is up to date on all of her shots.

Meet Santana, a gorgeous young female who is a smoke and tortoise shell short-hair kitty.  Her fur is so plush and lovely, with an unusual white undercoat.  If you brush her down, you will see the “tortie” colors; brush her up, and you see the white fur underneath.  She is very unique in her coloring but in spite of her striking colors and extremely sweet personality, Santana is often overlooked at adoption events.

Santana was rescued from a high-kill shelter in North Georgia by Angels Among Us Pet Rescue early this year and has been in foster care since then.  No one knows why she was turned in to this rural shelter but she certainly is beautiful and has a winning personality.

She was obviously well-treated because she is loving and affectionate.  She was a favorite at the shelter—always happy and grateful when someone gave her affection or took her out of the cage for a bit.

After she was rescued by AAUPR, Santana formed a close bond with another cat her foster had – a male cat named Hercules - but Hercules was adopted, leaving Santana with no close friends to play or pal around with in the household. Santana is very adaptable and gets along well with the other cats in the foster family household, although she seems to prefer males (perhaps she is missing a long-gone litter mate).

She has not been tested with dogs, but given her nature, would probably do just fine.  Santana has a lovely, pleasing voice that sounds like a bird’s chirp.  She enjoys attention, being held and petted and would make a great lap-warmer.

With all of these wonderful qualities, it’s hard to imagine why Santana hasn’t already been adopted.  She might just be waiting for the right person—someone who can see her true potential as a loving companion and friend for life. Could you be the one she’s been waiting for?

Santana is up-to-date on all vetting and shots, has been spayed, is micro chipped and ready for her forever home.  If you are interested in meeting or adopting Santana, please contact Kim Carter by email to KCarter@angelsrescue.org or you may contact Angels Rescue via email: cats@angelsrescue.org
