Sarge is 'One Cool Cat'

The 1-year-old Main Coon mix is available for adoption through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Meet Sarge, a beautiful, male Main Coon Mix kitty who is a year old, and weighs in at 13 pounds of pure gorgeous!

Sarge is neutered, litter box-trained, doesn't need a crate, is microchipped and up-to-date on all vetting and shots.

This handsome fella is looking for a family and home to call his very own, although he is quite content in his current foster home.  Sarge has no problems or issues being one of the animals in his home - he gets along with all animals as his current foster has other cats, kittens and even Australian Shepherd dogs!
The young cat was turned into animal control with a collar and bell around his neck, courtesy of his previous owner.  It was obvious to the shelter that Sarge had belonged to someone and was that person's beloved pet as he had already been neutered and was sporting a nice collar.

However, there was no identification nor microchip and no one ever showed up to reclaim this precious soul.  Sarge's "time was up" so Angels Among Us Pet Rescue's kitty group and his current foster mom, pulled him from the shelter before he could be put down.

Thank goodness they saved Sarge that day because he has proven that he's so worth saving and will be the pride and joy of a lucky new owner! His foster mom, Rachael, says of Sarge, "He's quite simply the coolest cat ever! He's honestly more 'dog' than kitty, as he loves chasing and fetching tennis balls, comes to me when I call him, and dearly loves wrestling with and playfully pouncing on his fellow foster kittens, even though he's much larger than they are. He doesn't harm them at all, he's just acting like one of them because he's still a 'kitten' at heart."

When asked what the ideal home for Sarge would be, Rachael replied, "Sarge could pretty much go anywhere.  He's confident and at ease in most any situation.  He enjoys the company of other felines, and doesn't mind dogs in the least.

Most of all, he would love a home and family who would enjoy having an active and intelligent cat that would appreciate his 'doggie' ways as much as we do!"
