How Much Snow is Expected to Fall in Peachtree Corners?

First the extreme cold, and now snow is expected to hit Peachtree Corners and the metro area. 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning starting Tuesday morning and lasting until Wednesday afternoon. Our area could see up to two inches of snow from the storm.

The NWS warns there could be an accumulation of ice which could cause tree limbs to fall and cause power outages. 

From the National Weather Service:

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TUESDAY MORNING TO 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY.

ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 2 INCHES. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN AS EARLY AS MID MORNING AND LAST INTO TONIGHT. ALTHOUGH THE SNOW WILL END CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY...

SNOW COVERED ROADS WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

There may be flurries throughout the day, but this is a media event to sell ads on NBC's The Weather Channel so they can pay the buyout mortgage. I doubt there will be any accumulation in "The Corners" and I'll answer for my prediction here tomorrow morning.

I would not commit to any scenario at the moment. This is an incredibly unpredictable weather pattern. Indeed all of the "pandemonium" makes for great entertainment which translates into dollar$ for those covering it, but the truth is, the weather pros are stumped. Tonight's event could go either way - from as little as a trace to around four inches of snow. Hopefully this will be nothing like March 1993 or January 2011.

Well, I'm going to go ahead and admit my prediction above was wrong. Ok snow, I admitted it! You can STOP NOW!!!
