Looking for something to do this weekend in Gwinnett? Check out this list.

If you're a road racer, this weekend is for you. At least six races are scheduled in Gwinnett, offering a variety of reasons to lace up your running shoes.

But there's also live music (including jazz great Spyro Gyra), tasty food and plenty of suds to wet your whistle.

Cool jazz with Spyro Gyra

  • Oct. 5: The well-known jazz band highlights the Jazz & Blues Concert Series at Peachtree Pointe Amphitheater near Buford. (7 p.m., $30-$52)

Hit the road, racers

  • Oct. 6: The Great Gwinnett Road Run 5K is part of Paint the Mall Pink at Mall of Georgia, benefitting Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition Fund. (8 a.m., $25-$30)

Oktoberfest at Trinity

  • Oct. 5: Trinity Lutheran Church near Lilburn hosts its 11th annual celebration of everything German and community. (11 a.m.-9 p.m., $3)

Elisha Winn House fundraiser

  • Oct. 5-6: The 35th annual Elisha Winn Fair is a Gwinnett Historical Society fundraiser for upkeep of the Elisha Winn House, at Dacula and Hurricane Shoals roads. (Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., $3, 12 and under free, 770-822-5174) 

Four-legged fun

  • Oct. 6: The fifth annual Chattapoochee Pet Fest at the Chattapoochee Dog Park welcomes dogs and cats ... and people, too. (10 a.m.-4 p.m., free)

Blues & Brews

  • Oct. 5: The Grayson Blues and Brews craft beer festival brings together two favorites at Grayson City Park. (2 p.m.-6 p.m., $30-$45, 678-985-9830)

Rock 'N Ribville

Norcross Art Fest

  • Oct. 5-6: It's called one of the most whimsical and colorful art shows in the country, with nearly 200 artists from all over the region and country coming to downtown Norcross. (Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., free, 770-452-1727)

Taste of Centreville

  • Oct. 5: Church of the Redeemer Presbyterian near Snellville hosts food tasting and family fun. (11 a.m.-5 p.m., 770-979-2467)
