Polls Differ on Who's Leading President Race

Easy win for Obama, or a strong chance for Romney? It depends on which poll you consult.

The latest tracking (as of Sept. 27) by the Huffington Post shows the president can claim more than 300 electoral votes, well above the 271 total needed to win the election. However, interactive maps by The Washington Post and USA TODAY differ (see links below). Both of those maps show that the presidential race still is tight, with Obama claiming less than 200 electoral votes. Ohio, always a crucial presidential battleground, is put solidly in the…

According to a quiz on ISideWith.com, 52 percent of its participants from Georgia as of Sept. 14 have views that match those of Johnson; 48 percent matched President Barrack Obama and 44 percent matched Republican Mitt Romney. More than 3.1 million people nationwide have participated, according to the website, which pitches the quiz as a way for voters to find their candidate for the November election. The quiz, which takes a few minutes to complete, asks participants questions about health care, the economy, immigration, social issues, foreign and domestic policy, science and the…

Cain Drops Out of the Race for President

In the wake of allegations of infidelity and sexual harassment claims, Atlanta businessman Herman Cain announced he was suspending his campaign for the GOP nomination for president to a crowd of supporters Saturday.

Claiming that he will not be silenced and he is not going away, presidential candidate Herman Cain announced Saturday that he was suspending his presidential campaign with immediate effect. Cain said the "untrue allegations and false accusations" had hurt his family and caused too much of a distraction to the country at such an important time. He said, however, that he was reverting to Plan B, which is to continue to be a voice for the people. "Becoming president was Plan A, now we are going to Plan B," Cain told a crowd of supporters in his hometown of Atlanta, Saturday. "I know that many of you are disappointed and I certainly understand that. I am disappointed that it came to this too. "One of the reasons I ran for president was so …
