A woman visiting the area from Sandy Springs reported being robbed at gunpoint near the 300 block of Ashley Lakes Drive on Dec. 22. The victim told police she had just descended the stairs of an apartment complex and was walking towards the parking lot when she was approached by a man wearing dark clothing. The victim stated in a Gwinnett County police report that the man placed a handgun to her head while ordering her to hand over her purse. The victim gave her purse to the suspect, who ran toward the back of the complex. The police report indicated that the purse contained $15 in cash, a driver's license and credit cards. Armed robber held up Peachtree Parkway branch with a semi-automatic handgun.
PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. -- Shortly after 11 0'clock this morning a lone gunman entered the Wells Fargo branch on Peachtree Parkway and Spalding Drive and demanded money from one of the bank tellers. During the robbery he shot a male employee before making off with an undisclosed amount of money. Cpl. Jake Smith, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department, said that a customer entering the bank heard gunshots and ran out of the building and called police. Gwinnett police said that the suspect is a black male with a light complexion in his early 20s to early 30s in age and slender build. Peachtree Corners store robbed at gunpoint on April 28, police searching for suspect.
The Gwinnett County Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Walgreens store located in Peachtree Corners that took place on Thursday, April 28. The store, located at 5985 Peachtree Parkway, was held up by a man who showed the cashier a gun then grabbed the money out of the cash register and fled. The Gwinnett police's Robbery Unit is looking for help in locating the robber. Police said the suspect is a black male in his 20s approximatly 6' 1" to 6' 3" tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. Police said the suspect entered the story at about 3:15 p.m., approached the cashier to pay for a soda and cigars.
