Peachtree Corners' Barbara Howard Recognized at Art Awards Ceremony

Suzanna's Kitchen's business owner received an award at the second annual Fusion ArtWorks! Gwinnett ceremony.

Peachtree Corners resident Barbara Howard and business owner of Suzanna’s Kitchen, was among the local artists, arts leaders, supporters and organizations honored at the second Fusion ArtWorks! Gwinnett Art Awards recently. Fusion Awards were presented at the second annual awards ceremony Feb. 25 at the Buford Theatre and Community Center. The awards recognized the artists, arts administrators, and citizens who support the arts countywide. Barbara Howard, founder of Suzanna's Kitchen won the Corporate Arts Citizen Award and accepted the award for the company. Peachtree Corners' Barbara Howard Named Citizen of the Year

And Dr. Mary Kay Murphy, also from Peachtree Corners, received a Public Service Award at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce annual dinner.

Barbara Howard of Peachtree Corners was honored as Citizen of the Year at the Gwinnett Chamber ofCommerce's 65th Annual Dinner. The award honors individuals who have had the greatest impact on the overall quality of life for Gwinnett County in recent years. A sold-out crowd of 1,000 business and community leaders attended the Feb. 1 dinner at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth. The dinner was sponsored by Gwinnett Medical Center. Howard, founder of Suzanna’s Kitchen located in Peachtree Corners and Duluth, is well known for her philanthropy. Two Peachtree Corners Women to Receive Gwinnett Chamber Awards

Events include 65th annual Gwinnett Chamber Dinner Feb. 1 at which Peachtree Corners businesswoman Barbara Howard and Gwinnett Board of Education Member Dr. Mary Kay Murphy and others will receive awards.

The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce will honor and recognize the recipients of its 2012 Public Service Awards, R. Wayne Shackelford Legacy Award, D. Scott Hudgens Humanitarian Award, and Citizen of the Year Award at the 65th Annual Dinner Presented by Gwinnett Medical Center on Feb. 1, 2013. The formal celebration will take place at the Thomas P.
