The wide receiver is headed into his senior year at Norcross High but he's still working on rehabbing his knee from an injury last football season.
Myles Autry is still working his way back from a football injury last season, but his spirits are high as he heads into his senior year. In an interview with BuckeyeGrove.com, the Norcross High wide reciever said he'd been afraid that colleges would retreat from his camp after tearing his knee ligaments in the semifinals last year. But, Autry says college programs have remained steady and kept up with his progress. In fact, he's received more than two dozen offers, according to Rivals.com. -- Which college football program should Autry chose? The Norcross High football team has had a pretty successful season. From their undefeated season to their first state championship win in the school's 57-year run, the Blue Devils deserve some credit. And they have. The team received special recognition at a Gwinnett Board of Commissioners meeting in January, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution named running back Alvin Kamara its All-Class Player of the Year, and the Blue Devils were named the High 5 Sports Team of the Year, to name just a few. The Blue Devils also has an entire list of players to honor in its end of the season awards. Tuesday evening the Blue Devils state championship team and coaches were presented a "Resolution of Recognition" from Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners.
After winning the school's first state football championship title in December 2012, the Norcross High School varsity football team was in the spotlight again on Tuesday night. The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners invited the team to its monthly meeting and presented a Resolution of Recognition to the Blue Devils for the win. "I was so excited watching the championship game," Commissioner Lynette Howard told the coaching staff and team. "It was a magical time, everyone was so excited. We believed ... and you won," she said. Norcross High defeated Lovejoy High 21-14 in the state finals to win its first state championship since 1957 when the school began playing varsity football.

Since last week's Class AAAAAA title win, Norcross High has earned another token of recognition. The Blue Devils have been named the country's new No. 3 team in the Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard, according to MaxPreps. Norcross was ranked No. 8 before. "The Gwinnett County squad has an impressive list of victories that includes North Gwinnett, Camden County and Colquitt County," says the news site. The Blue Devils was beat in the rankings by Louisiana's Curtis High School (14-0), the Class 2A state champion who earned the No. 1 slot, and Texas' Katy High at No. 2.
