Gwinnett County Public Schools is confirming that the teen killed Wednesday in an early morning accident on Lawrenceville Highway is a student at Berkmar High School. Dakota Waters, 17, was listed as a junior at the Lilburn high school, according to Jorge Quintana, a spokesman for Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS.) In 2010 my best friend was also hit by a car and killed, he also attended berkmar high school. The police never found his killer. A month later, I was struck by a car and nearly died.
