Rock Out at YMCA's Annual Rock 'N Roll-A-Thon

Fowler YMCA invites the community to its annual fundraiser Feb. 2.

For 15 years, residents of Peachtree Corners and the surrounding communities have come together for a day filled with fellowship and fitness at Robert Fowler YMCA’s annual Rock ‘N Roll-A-Thon.     The spirit and tradition continues on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 9 a.m.-.4.p.m. as neighbors cycle, swim, dance and shop – all for a GREAT Cause!  With a variety of activities to choose from - cycling in the gym, swimming in our pool, dancing to Latin tunes, or shopping the Silent Auction, there is something for everyone!  You don’t need to be an athlete to participate; you just need the desire to make a difference! Innovative Parents Organize Consignment Sale to Benefit School

Parents work year round organizing the annual KidsCloset consignment sale which benefits Winters Chapel Preschool in Peachtree Corners. This year the sale from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2.

Do you cringe when your children bring home the Sally Foster Fundraising Packet?  Are you tired of eating out at establishments you’d never go to just because it’s ‘spirit night’?  Do you hate hitting up friends and relatives to buy everything from ham to mattresses?  All around us schools are struggling to make ends meet and the fundraisers get ever more frequent and - let’s face it – annoying. Belk's to Host Spring Charity Sale

All 303 Belk's stores nationwide are participating in this event to help nonprofit organizations with their fund-raising efforts.

The Peachtree Corners Belk's store, along with all of the Belk stores nationwide, is hosting a four-hour, in store shopping event on Saturday, April 21 from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. to help participating nonprofit organizations raise money. Participating organizations will be selling $5 tickets to their supportors during the event. And on the morning of the Belk Charity Sale, the first 100 customers to arrive at the store will receive a Belk gift card ranging in value from $5 to $100. Customers will also have a chance to win one of three $1,000 Belk gift cards to be awarded companywide. Video: Art, Wine & Jazz

The event took place last Saturday to benefit the Norcross Cluster Schools Partnership.

Held at DE Fine Art in Peachtree Corners, the Art, Wine & Jazz event took place last Saturday to benefit grants through the Norcross Cluster Schools Partnership. The community gathered at the art gallery to drink wine, eat food and check out artwork while enjoying the company other others. The Traveling Vineyard provided the wine samples, and Mayor Bucky Johnson was on the drums in a quartet playing jazz standards. The event was led by Kim Dorough, president of the NCSP. "We just thought it would be a fun, one-of-a-kind event and a something great to do for the community," said Ranae Heaven, co-founder of NCSP. Held in Peachtree Corners' DE Fine Art gallery, the business-casual event will have artwork, drinks, food and dancing. The Traveling Vineyard will be having a professional wine tasting, too.
