American Idol Concert Tour Stops at Gwinnett Arena

The tour stops in the metro Atlanta entertainment venue on August 4. Tickets go on sale May 3.

  American Idol, the popular FOX singing competition, is bringing its live tour to the Atlanta area, according to a press release from Gwinnett Center. American Idol Live! returns this summer with its hit touring showcase featuring this season's top finalists. And, 19 Entertainment and AEG Live have just announced that the 40-show concert tour will be coming to The Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:30 p.m. on August 4. Video Highlights: The Circus is in Town at Gwinnett Center All Week

Show highlights from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which opened this week at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus opened this week at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth for a run of shows through March 3. Three performances, including pre-show opportunities to interact with performers, were held Saturday. In all, 18 performances are scheduled. Tickets are $25 to $130 and are available at the arena box office, or via Ticketmaster.

Gwinnett Arena Ranked a Top Venue Worldwide

The Duluth entertainment venue was ranked 5th domestically and 10th worldwide by Venues Today. Pollster Magazine ranked it 32nd domestically and 66th worldwide.

  Venues Today and Pollstar Magazine recently ranked The Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth as a top arena venue worldwide in their 2012 Year-End Reports. The Arena is celebrating its 10th year in 2013. “We had a fantastic year of events from NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships to the Dave Matthews Band,” said Joseph Dennis, general manager at Gwinnett Center, in a press release. “We are privileged to be in such a great community that supports the events that come to The Arena.” Venues Today and Pollstar Magazine are leading entertainment industry publications. Beyonce To Include Gwinnett on 2013 World Tour

The entertainer, fresh from an exciting Super Bowl halftime performance, will play at the Gwinnett Arena in July.

Beyonce fans in Gwinnett, you're in for an encore. The popular entertainer, who "killed it" -- in the words of social media chatter -- in Sunday's Super Bowl 2013 halftime show, plans to bring her new tour to Gwinnett in July. According to the Gwinnett Arena calendar and Beyonce's website announcement, the "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour will be at the Gwinnett Arena on July 12. Doors will open at 7 p.m., according to the arena calendar. It will be the only Atlanta-area appearance. Tickets for the Gwinnett show in Duluth will go on sale Saturday, Feb. 16, according to the arena website. A New Look for the Lingerie Football League (With Video)

Get ready, Gwinnett. The women-only league re-brands itself as Legends, and introduces 'peformance wear' for the players.

The women-only football league that plans to debut in April in the Gwinnett Arena has a new name and new uniforms. The Lingerie Football League announced Wednesday (January 9) in Los Angeles that it now is calling itself the Legends Football League. And its uniforms will now be "performance wear," instead of the lingerie that characterized its previous years. "This is the next step in the maturation of our now global sport. Globetrotters Coming to Gwinnett for 'Hugs' Benefit

The team will demonstrate their amazing basketball skills in a show benefiting Duluth-based Hugs for Soldiers.

  The Harlem Globetrotters will demonstrate their amazing basketball skills in a show at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth.  Angie Doerlich, founder of Hugs for Soldiers, announced that the show is a fundraiser for the Duluth-based organization. A portion of each ticket sold will go to Hugs for Soldiers to fund care packages for U.S. troops serving overseas and for shipping expenses. “Tickets will be offered at an exclusive discount price of $17, which is a savings up to $19 per ticket to everyone who purchases tickets on behalf of Hugs for Soldiers,” Doerlich said. This ticket price applies to seats that are regularly $36-$26 (three price levels).
