Pinckneyville Park Ball Fields to Get New Scoreboards

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners also approved the condemnation of property along SR 20 for a road widening project.

At its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, the Gwinnett County Commissioners approved several agenda items ranging from new signs for softball and baseball fields for area parks to a large transportation project on SR 20. The Gwinnett County commissioners: And the board of commissioners also acted to smooth the way for a key transportation project to widen a stretch of SR 20. The board authorized the eventual condemnation of 17 properties along SR 20 (Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to Burnette Trail) and the SR 20 Bridge (Burnette Trail to James Burgess Road) projects. Gwinnett BOC Approves Transportation Projects on I-85, Peachtree Industrial Boulevard

Chairman says transportation projects are a priority for Gwinnett in 2013.

Transportation projects were plentiful on the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners' agenda Tuesday (February 5). And the commissioners approved several, with some price tags ranging into seven figures. Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash said that transportation is a priority for the commissioners in 2013, and that Transportation Director Kim Conroy had been given the signal to move ahead with some projects.
