Peachtree Corners 2013 High School Football Schedules Are Out

High school spring practice is already underway. Here's a look at the upcoming season's football schedules for Duluth, Norcross and Wesleyan.

Football season is just four months away, and here's another reminder. The 2013 football schedules are out for Peachtree Cornerrs schools, as well as others in the Georgia High School Association. So here's something you can print and stick on the refrigerator to be ready. Some key dates: Duluth plays against Norcross on Sept. 20 and Weslyan will play their rival, Greater Atlanta Christian on Oct. 25. College Football Programs Chasing Down Carter

Norcross High's Lorenzo Carter has more than a dozen college football offers.

Norcross High's Lorenzo Carter is keeping his options open regarding his future college football career. But, it seems the entire college football arena wants him -- and badly. A top-notch defensive end, the junior has 32 college offers already, according to Rivals.com. He is considered one of the nation's top 10 overall prospects. This past football season, he helped lead Norcross High to a state title. And, in basketball this year, he played on the school's state championship team, as well. One of the latest schools to join the Lorenzo Carter bandwagon is the University of Florida Gators. 'This Year's Team is the Best Norcross Has Ever Had'

Bill Byran, the offensive stats man is "optimistic" Blue Devils will win the state championship on Saturday.

Just walk the halls of Norcross High School and you can feel the excitement - a state championship game is looming. It's the first time the Blue Devils have made it to the finals - and the anticipation of the Saturday game hangs in the air. After last week's big projection, Maxwell Ratings still favors the Blue Devils (14-0) to claim the Class AAAAAA championship title. On a local level one man says this could be the best team Norcross High has ever had. Bill Bryant, the man who's been behind the offensive stats for Norcross High since 1981 and a former Gwinnett solicitor, said he's "optimistic, not overconfident" when it comes to Norcross winning the title because the Blue Devils have never played Lovejoy. Computer Ratings Say Norcross Will Win Football Title

Maxwell Ratings favor Blue Devils in Class AAAAAA.

If you listen to what a computer says about the Georgia High School Association football playoffs, then Gwinnett County teams should come away with two championships after the finals are played next week. See also: Citing the Maxwell Ratings, the Georgia High School Football Daily newsletter reports that Norcross (Class AAAAAA) and Buford (AAA) are the odds-on favorites to win titles in their respective classifications. The ratings project Norcross to beat Lovejoy in the AAAAAA final and Buford to beat St. Pius for the AAA championship.
