Register By Friday for Code Pink Race and Save

Code Pink Race is this Saturday, May 5. Race day registration is $40 - sign up early and save $5.

Attention Peachtree Corners runners, if it's not on your calendar already, it's not too late to sign up for Saturday's Code Pink Run. Benefiting the Susan G. Komen Atlanta 3-day, the Code Pink Race on Saturday, May 5, 2012, is a fund raiser to collect entry fees into the Atlanta 3-day for Code Pink. Organized by Spincycle of Peachtree Corners the Code Pink Run will begin at Norcross High School and winds through Technology Park with the 10k doing two laps on the 5k course. Time is Running Out for Tax Returns

Tuesday is the very last chance to get tax returns in the mail without incurring penalties, but the US Postal Service is stepping up to help with Tax Night 2012.

Because April 15 fell on a Sunday, and Emancipation Day - a legal holiday in Washington D.C. - was observed Monday, it gave us two extra days to file our tax return. In addition, the US Postal Services is pulling out the stops to help filers who wait until the very last minute, which is midnight, Tuesday, April 17. Two post offices in the Atlanta area will be open until midnight today. Post Offices open until midnight: Other post offices will operate their regular hours, some of which do remain open until 6 or 7 p.m. In a press release, the Atlanta district manager, Sal Vacca, recommended that filers visit the post offices early in the day to avoid last minute long lines. Register to 'Run The Corners' 5K Race

Planning on running or walking in the inaugural 5k and 1k race? Sign up soon, the cost to register is going up.

  Several weeks ago the news of the inaugural "Run The Corners" event to benefit the Robert D. Fowler YMCA’s Partner With Youth Campaign set for April 21, 2012 was announced. If you haven't signed up for this Peachtree Corners event, don't delay - the cost to run is going up soon. Registration for the 5k is $25, but will increase in eight days. And the cost to register in the 1k (that does not include a T-shirt) will increase from $5.00 to $10.00. The day begins with the 5k and 1k followed by activities at The Forum that include children’s inflatables, face-painting, live bands, sidewalk sales, and a Taste of the Forum.
