Would-Be Burglar Denied Bond in Loganville Home Invasion

Paul Slater, who was shot by a Loganville mother last month during a break-in, has now been released from the hospital and is being held, without bond, at Walton County Detention Center.

Walton County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Paul Slater, who was shot by a Loganville mother on Jan. 4 when he broke into her home, has now been released from Gwinnett Medical Center and is being held, without bond, in the Walton County Detention Center in Monroe, Ga. He is charged with possession of tools for commission of a crime, aggravated assault and burglary in first degree. WCSO's Capt. Greg Hall said that he was being held without bond also for violating probation. "If he has a lawyer he will be able to petition the Superior Court or for another appearance in front of a magistrate judge," Hall said.
