Students Participate in International Walk to School Day
Peachtree Corners and Berkeley Lake schools participated in International Walk to School Day- "Walk It, Bike It, Like It" on Wednesday.
Students at various schools in the Peachtree Corners and Berkeley Lake cluster schools joined millions of other students from across the United States and 40 other countries to participate in International Walk to School Day- "Walk it, Bike it, Like it" Wednesday. The event, launched and piloted in 1994 in Great Britain, was first adapted in the United States in 1997 in Chicago and Los Angeles schools with the support of the non-profit organization “Partnership for a Walkable America”. Currently, over 35 countries and 2,800 schools in the US participate in International Walk to School Day.
