Hall of Famers Larry Nelson, Hale Irwin and Tom Kite as well as recent winners such as John Cook have committed to play in the PGA Champions Tour event at TPC Sugarloaf in Gwinnett in April, according to an announcement. Officials of the Greater Gwinnett Championship announced Tuesday (January 29) that 27 of the top 30 players from the Champions Tour 2012 money list have committed for the event, which marks the return of pro golf to Gwinnett after an absence of several years. The 54-hole tourney in Duluth will be on April 19-21. Various events will be held at Sugarloaf during the week leading up to the event.
