Arts, Business World Combine for Evening of Fun

Peachtree Corners Business Association members and guests mixed and mingled for an evening filled with fine art at Objet d'Art Gallery and Studios.

The Peachtree Corners Business Association's Wednesday evening event was all about the arts. Objet d'Art Gallery and Studios, located in the Village at Peachtree Corners shopping center, hosted the PCBA's spring gathering where over 80 members and their guests mixed and mingled and strolled through the Peachtree Corners art gallery. "We're delighted to be able to host the PCBA event," said Sheri Snyder, the art gallery's owner. "We're the best kept secret in Peachtree Corners, but we hope now all of you will be back," said Snyder who opened her business last fall. Business Leaders Speak Out On City Issues

The city of Peachtree Corners has solicited feedback from its residents for its Comprehensive Plan - recently the business community got the chance to provide its input on the city's future plans.

The city of Peachtree Corners has over 2,000 businesses located within its borders and last week owners and operators had the chance to weigh in on what they thought should be included in the city's long-range plans. City leaders embarked on a comprehensive plan in early February and had asked residents to look ahead to the next two decades to what they thought would be needed to serve the community. And last week the Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) hosted an event along with Pond & Company, the engineering firm retained to help with the plan, to gather input from local business owners and operators. It Was All About Fashion at the PCBA Meeting Thursday

The Peachtree Corners Business Association meeting had professional models, council members, the city's mayor and even the association's president strolling down the fashion runway at Belk.

Who said business gatherings have to be all about - well business? The Peachtree Corners Business Association on Thursday night was - believe it or not - about fashion. Belk's at The Forum hosted the evening event that was pure fun. There was food and spirits provided by neighboring Grace 1720, live music, door prizes and a fashion runway full of celebrities. Modeling the latest in fall fashion were: Oh, and for good measure Belk's through in a few "real" models to balance out the show. Belk's store manager Ivan Yuspeh, announced each of the models and what they were wearing. The show's production details were handled by Howard Worley. Norcross HS Highlighted at PCBA Breakfast

The Gwinnett public school was the main focus at the Peachtree Corners Business Association meeting which was co-hosted by the Norcross Business Association.

Community business men and women from both Peachtree Corners and Norcross had an opportunity to see first-hand the value of a community-supported public school on Wednesday morning at a breakfast held at Norcross High School. The Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) and the Norcross Business Association co-hosted the breakfast meeting that was held Wednesday, Sept. 19. The theme of the meeting was "Change a Child, Change a Community." Will Bishop, the school's new principal, welcomed the group of about 55. "We were excited when we started talking about having a meeting at the school," said Bishop who took over as the school principal in January. Local Business Association's 2nd Event Well Attended

The newly formed Peachtree Corners Business Association recently gathered for a social event at Ippolito's Restaurant.

It was an evening for members to meet and greet at the second gathering of the newly formed Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) as some 70 members and guests mixed and mingled at Ippolito's Restaurant on Thursday. It was only the second time since its inaugural meeting in February when some 200 from the local business community attended that first meeting held at the Marriott Hotel on S.R. 141. Thursday's gathering was "a huge success," said Michael McLaughlin, PCBA's president. "Approximately 70 PCBA members and guests attended and enjoyed networking with other Peachtree Corners area businesses and neighbors." Overflow Crowd Attends PCBA Kick Off Meeting

Peachtree Corners Business Association's first meeting drew business, school and community leaders.

  The Peachtree Corners Business Association held its inaugural meeting Tuesday morning at the Atlanta Marriott and by all accounts it was a rousing success. The organization's first meeting drew some 200 business, school, church and political leaders. Organizers had anticipated 120 to attend. Michael McLaughlin, PCBA's president was delighted at the business community's response. "It was much bigger than expected," said McLaughlin. "It was exciting to watch all of those people come in." The meeting room quickly filled up and hotel staff scrambled to provide seating for everyone. New Peachtree Corners Business Association Launches

Organization created for the business community will hold its first meeting Feb. 21.

  It's been in the works for months but now the Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) is scheduled to hold its first meeting next week. The new organization officially launches on Tuesday, Feb. 21 when it holds its inaugural meeting at the Atlanta Marriott in Peachtree Corners. The meeting will be held from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. As the community grew, many felt that a business association for Peachtree Corners was needed.
