An Atlanta-based company is interested in developing the Peachtree Corners property on Peachtree Corners Circle and Peachtree Parkway into a specialty retail center.
If you've driven by the intersection of Peachtree Parkway and Peachtree Corners Circle, the blue and white sign announcing a new development on that corner has probably caught your eye. The sign announces that a new "speciality retail development" called "Peachtree Corners Place" is planned for the corner across the street from Dreamland restaurant. An Atlanta-based company, Fuqua Development, has its eye on the property. Patch spoke briefly with Jeff Fuqua, spokesman for the company who said the company was in the early planning stages. Who said business gatherings have to be all about - well business? The Peachtree Corners Business Association on Thursday night was - believe it or not - about fashion. Belk's at The Forum hosted the evening event that was pure fun. There was food and spirits provided by neighboring Grace 1720, live music, door prizes and a fashion runway full of celebrities. Modeling the latest in fall fashion were: Oh, and for good measure Belk's through in a few "real" models to balance out the show. It's an unspiring shopping center that looks bland and uninteresting. John's Creek seems to attract far better architecture and I have to wonder why this developer thinks so little of this area that they are willing to add yet another boring looking mini mall.   more ›
