RaceTrac Petroleum released the following statement in response to the voluntary product recall issued Thursday by Georgia–based supplier, Flying Food Group: “RaceTrac considers the safety of our guests and in-store team members of paramount importance. On July 25, 2011, prior to any official announcement, we learned of a pending voluntary product recall of USDA/FDA-regulated food distributed in Georgia by one of our food suppliers, Flying Food Group. As a proactive measure to protect the best interest of our guests, RaceTrac preemptively removed all products prepared and provided by Flying Food Group from our 65 Georgia stores on July 25.
